Leesburg Committee Notes: October 12th, 2024

New Tasks:

  • Need update on additional lighting in front of building.

In progress / Previous Tasks:

  • Lobby Cases - PRIORITY
    • progress is being made, need more hands. 
    • Jess needs to design and laser cut signage for above cases.
  • STILL need to figure out Storing Vacuums / Reorganize the Utility Closet
    • Utility Closet needs it's own workday project for pulling out, sorting, disposal, and reorganizing.  
    • Rebuild shelves / aerated shelves
    • Search Facebook Marketplace for a network equipment wall mount (need help?)
  • Ceiling Plug - in progress - call Viktor about plug (Jessee needs to call)
  • Electronics/Class Room

    • Mark M. presented a budget for the reconstruction of the basement which is linked in Slack in both the #Electronics and #Leesburg Switch-a-roo channels as well as the Treasurer's Budget Projection Spreadsheet for 2025

Completed Tasks:


  • We now have twice a week trash pickup.  Monday & Thursday.

To-Do List:

  • Need get the front window in the main room fixed
    • need to call landlord, again? Who is in contact with them currently? Jonathan White?
  • Need more lighting on front patio and possibly one installed at back door

make two lists! One Cleaning Tasks, one Improvement Projects.

Notes:    The basement plan had a request for a security monitor to see a feed from cams upstairs to see who was entering/exiting the location.  This prompted conversation from Bryan B. about having a security monitor upstairs to see who might be in the basement.  The conversation progressed into security at the space in general, specifically, installing some sort of FOB or RIFD system on automatic locking doors.  (This could also assist in data collection of who is using the space and when the space is being used the most.
